Eric Holland with Alan Wilkis of Big Data

Big Data’s Glitchy Pop Examines Tech/Humans

The debut studio album from Big Data, “2.0”, features songs inspired by the likes of Snowden/NSA and the Facebook mood experiments sung by an impressive gaggle of guests like Rivers Cuomo, Jamie Lidell, Twin Shadow, and Joywave.  In the studio, Big Data is Brooklyn-based producer Alan Wilkis (whom I spoke with at SXSW on Saturday and who has a mean right cross) plus guests, but he’s put together a touring band that is its own animal.  They’re at The Bowery Ballroom tonight.  Thanks to Pandora for the performance video.
