The song “Witchoo” explodes right out of the speakers. It’s undeniable and a no-brainer pick for one of my top ten songs of the year. (And now that it’s October I better start pondering what the other nine are.) It turns out the band behind the song have crafted an entire album’s worth of dynamite material. Retro R&B band Durand Jones & The Indications, and Private Space, is the name of the band and album respectively. They’ve got some strong ties to New York too as I learned when chatting up their three founding members: Durand Jones, Aaron Frazer, and Blake Rhein.
