The Chili Peppers doing a pretty killer show at The Garden is hardly surprising.  The Chili Peppers doing three distinct pretty killer shows however may be eyebrow-raising.  They busted out covers like Simon & Garfunkel’s The Only Living Boy in New York and Search & Destroy by Iggy and The Stooges.  They took you back to the Uplift Mofo, touched One Hot Minute, and whacked Hey as well as Hey Oh.  California songs – check.  Anthemic Under The Bridge – check.  Representing the spiffy Danger Mouse produced album The Getaway of last year – check.  Flea walking on his hands – check.  Anthony Kiedis leading the charge on vocals and vibes – check.

On opening night at the soundboard I crossed paths with Lenny Kravitz and I knew I was in the right place!  The Chile Peppers then strutted out and launched into a tone setting Can’t Stop with Flea’s bass thumping and Chad Smith snapping off crisp hits.  Here’s how the three nights’ setlists shook out:
