The Revivalists, a New Orleans octet, are riding high these days. They’ve got a couple of big hits under their belt with Wish I Knew You and All My Friends and they’ve recently taken the bold musical step of adding a second drummer to their live shows. 

Vocalist and guitarist David Shaw and guitarist Zack Feinberg, co-founders of the Revivalists, met me at The Cabin Studio in Manhattan Center for some conversation and duo performances of a pair of tunes from their new album, Take Good Care.  The Revivalists boast 8 full time members but David and Zack occasionally do duo performances like this one for WFUV.

Feinberg, like his mates, moved to “N’awlins” from somewhere else and the “else” in his case is Pleasantville, New York, in Westchester county, so he was no stranger to WFUV. Jump to FUV Live session on station page.
