The Struts Back In NYC For Release Of Debut Album Everybody Wants

The Struts were at Irving Plaza last night, March 3rd 2016, celebrating the worldwide release of their debut album Everybody Wants that comes out today.  The quartet formed in Derby, England in 2012, are Luke Spiller who is from Brighton originally on lead vocals, Adam Slack on guitar, Jed Elliott on bass and Gethin Davies on drums.  I spoke with Luke a year ago after the fellas played their first ever show in the city at the John Varvatos store which was CBGB in another life.  As Luke’s remarks and the performance video make plain, these guys are serious about having fun!

They are doing another show at the Soho House tonight but that one is invite-only so fuggedaboutit unless you have an in.

A fine how do you do! from British indie-rock band The Struts who played their first ever show in the U.S. at the John Varvatos store on the Bowery…better known as the old CBGB.  The fellas promised they’d be back soon.
